My younger brother and his wife had planned a trip to Hawaii months ago, and when they found out that Adam had vacation time during the same week, they invited us along. How could we say no?!
We all met in Hawaii, and enjoyed a kid-free week full of sun, sand, and relaxation on Kauai. We kayaked, hiked, body surfed, snorkeled, swam, shopped, and just plain had FUN!!
Adam's mom came to stay with the boys while we were there, and ended up staying for a whole month. We always enjoy her stays, and it even brought on a week long visit from 3 of Adam's siblings. It was great!

Kari D!!! I LOVE your bloooooog! What a fun thing to do. It's GREAT!
Wow! It's so fun to find you! I love the blog network! You have such a cute family. It's so funny, you look just the same as I remember you. You haven't aged (lucky dog). And, you are so tiny, there's no way I would believe you if you told me you gave birth to three boys (if I didn't actually see you pregnant once)! You're just as cute as ever. It's fun to get to catch up with you.
Kari,
Wow! Long time, no see! Your kiddos are so cute! And how is it living in the middle of the U.S.? That is so far away? Check us out when you get the chance!

Oh Kari! Who knew you live on a flat pancake with a fireman, 3 busy boys, and toads? So glad we're all blogging now! It makes me remember all my good high school friends and memories. Congrats to your fireman on graduating. I am forever impressed by people who work and go to school similtaneously, not to mention raising a family. Oh, and your hair is soooo cute! No, you're just cute. How's your family? I haven't heard any gossip about the Despains in years. Hope all's well. Love, Mary
How fun I want to go! It was fun seeing you on Sunday.
Your boys are so cute. I agree with Charity you don't look like you have aged at all in 10 years. Too lucky!!
My husband does the whole Fire/EMT thing also, has for almost 9 years now. He's just finishing up his Paramedic next month. Yeahm it's almost over.
What takes you guys back east?
Kari,
It's fun to see a little more of what you are up to. I have loved the Christmas cards for years, but I am happy to be able to check in on you more often now. Hawaii looks amazing. I am sure that was a much needed break.
